For the record, Jesus Christ was NOT just a great person and teacher. No way. He declared Himself to be God and equal with God and to be the Son of God. He even said that if someone saw Him, they saw the Father, and that He and the Father were One.
Human beings are forced to deal with Jesus head-on. It is an eternal issue. If what He said/says was true (as I think it was/is) He is totally right about every single thing He said. That should bring chills, considering all He said.
On the other hand - back to Jesus not just being a good person. Unless everything He said is true, He is the greatest liar in human history and not at all a great person. Great people do not lie or blaspheme in such a manner. So?
Either Jesus Christ is exactly Who He said He is, or He is the most evil blasphemer in human history. This is the stark reality we must face, as our eternal destiny depends upon it....
Is Jesus your Lord and Savior? If not, most-likely you do not even care if you think He was a blasphemer and liar. He might be that "great person" to you anyway, that I state that He cannot be unless He is everything. However, what if you are wrong and I am right?

What Is Christian Salvation, Being Born-Again? ~ Jimmy Hall ( HJimmy577@aol.com )
What is Christian Salvation? What does it mean to be Born-Again? We Christians know, and for the most-part understand these terms, but we often forget that many other people do NOT know this eternally-important subject and terminology. Let's get to the bottom of these terms.
Christian Salvation actually means to have been saved from sin by the act of being "BORN-AGAIN," (becoming a Christian, "Christ-like"). The term "born-again" most famously comes from the words of the Lord Jesus Christ in John 3: 3-6 in the Holy Bible (God's Word to Mankind). Jesus expounds further upon what it means in John 3:16 :
You see, those that believe upon the person, name, and sacrificial death of Jesus Christ upon a Roman Cross as an atonement for their sins obtain free forgiveness for their sins and are granted eternal life with God - after their earthly lives end. The importance of this cannot be over-emphasized.
God is completely RIGHTEOUS, and cannot fellowship or commune with individuals in their initial state of natural sin. Ever since "the Fall" of the first two humans, Adam and Eve, (their disobedience in the Garden of Eden, and ruining their initial state of creation by God) human beings have been born sinful, with a "sin nature" (natural disodedient disposition toward God and holiness).
Yes, people are born WRONG the first time, unable to commune with their God - from the age of knowing right and wrong (sin) they often do wrong (sin). This, as alluded to, is unacceptable to God.
Again - God's remedy was and is the fact that He sent His precious only Son, Jesus, as a remedy for the forgiveness of the sins of those that believe and have faith in Him. Accepting Christ fully atones for sin, and changes a Believer's disposition and inclinations. The holiness of God Himself via Jesus Christ now enters the Believer.
The newly "born-again" Believer, as mentioned, is now called a "Christian" - due to the Spirit of Christ/God's Holy Spirit entering them and now directing their lives. Christian Salvation has then been obtained. He or she now abhors the very sins they used to enjoy commiting, due to the conviction supplied by the Holy Spirit. A "repentance" (turning away from) occurs, as does remorse.
The alternative to never believing in Jesus Christ and never being born-again is to remain in a sinful state, separated from God for all of eternity, in a horrid place of eternal punishment and fire - HELL. Hell is not a good place or a good thing.
The bottom line is that believing not just in the historical person of Jesus, but also that He was and is the Son of God (God Himself in human form) that sacrificed Himself for Mankind's sins, is the only way to be able to live forever with God - as opposed to a second death that is actually a life in eternal Hell and torture.
Believing in the finished work of Christ Jesus secures Christian Salvation, providing a re-birth allowing the new Christian to be born-again in a state acceptable for fellowship with God....

How To Love Jesus Christ: Knowing God/Creator ~ Jimmy Hall
Experts tell us that human beings have an inner-longing to know why they exist and how they were created. Most believe that a Creator, a higher life form, made the Human race. I propose that this idea is 100% correct, and know that Creator is God via Jesus Christ (as the Bible says in John Chapter 1). Therefore - how to love Jesus Christ, and knowing God, are of the utmost importance to humanity and individual human beings.
How do you love Jesus Christ? As much as we try and make loving Jesus a complicated theological task, it is NOT. It's simple. We learn to love Christ by simply accepting and acknowledging His love for His people. We just have to believe upon Him and return His love through faith and belief. The Bible states that we love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4:19).
As such, the ability to truly love Jesus Christ, our Creator, and to know Him hinges simply on belief upon him and receiving the faith that God the Father chooses to bestow upon individuals. But, why?
Humans were born wrong the first time, due to the fall of Adam and Eve, and have since required atonement for their sins so they can commune and fellowship with and know our Holy God. Jesus, His Son (and part of the Triune Godhead), is this everlasting atonement.
When asked if they are a Christian, many people on the street or in everyday life say, "I believe in God." These folks simply miss the point. Even most non-Christians believe in " a god." Christians believe in and upon JESUS CHRIST as their Savior and Creator of the world.
Given this, it should be obvious that there is a huge difference between truly "knowing God" versus "knowing about God" or thinking there is "a god."
Acceptance of Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior leads to repentance of sins, and allows God's Holy Spirit to fill your body with a love for Jesus Christ. That is precisely how to love Jesus Christ - and how to know God, our Creator.
The evidence of this "new love" for Christ is a life changed by God's grace, and a willingness to obey His Commandments by being led by God's Holy Spirit amid you.....
