Executive Resumes: Professional Resume Services/ATLANTA-Macon, 404-580-1501

Resumes are important, but they do not get jobs. What???? Yes, resumes in Atlanta, Macon, Marietta, and other job centers are a key component of the job search, and are often mandatory, but in and of themselves they do not get you a job – THEY SECURE YOU AN INTERVIEW or MEETING. That is their function and mission. This is true for executive resumes and professional resumes as much as for basic ones.

Job Searches: Competition

You see, anywhere from 2 or 3 to 2,000 to 3,000 other candidates are after the position you are, and the resume is the means by which the potential employer narrows down the field, and selects potential worthy candidates to fill the job opening. Good resume writers/resume services in Atlanta and Macon know this, and how intense the job market is in Georgia.

Therefore, your executive resume/professional resume must standout immediately, and have relevant and somewhat specific content on it that is easily seen within 30 seconds. Even executive or formal position resumes are not looked at very long, usually 30 seconds to 1 minute each (initially).

Resumes: Snapshots

After a glance, your resume (a snapshot of you) is either deemed acceptable or denied consideration. That means that YOU are accepted or denied in no time at all, for the next step in the process. You are in an often scary and tough competition with others.

As a job candidate, you must not only present yourself well in a resume, but keep in mind that you are in this vast competition and must separate yourself from the pack, just to get the interview. (Of course, you would then need to know how to interview well prior to that upcoming stage.)

Your professional resume should not only demonstrate that you are qualified, but likely that you are possibly one of the most-qualified people available (and the impending interview should strive to prove it).

Your Resume: Your First Job Assignment

Your executive resume or professional resume is your first job assignment, and you do not even work for the organization yet. How? It is your first project for consideration, and you will be judged by what you present – whether you actually write it or not.

Even if the task is delegated, the final product (resume) is given by YOU. You got it done or had it done. Understand?

If you do a lousy job with something as important as your own resume for the job itself, why should the employer even consider hiring you to do work for them? Hmmmm. Think about it. Would you hire yourself if you turned-in a bad resume?

All of this means that it is often best if you hire/delegate the task of writing your resume to a professional resume writer. We know what employers expect and want to see on resumes, whether in Atlanta, New York, or Los Angeles. It is almost universal.

Resumes: Bridges For Futures

Your executive resume not only needs to give a work and education history, but also specifics of what you have done that indicate that you have something great to offer in the future. Don’t just list tasks and duties, but the underlying precepts and values and talent involved per them. Get it?

The professional resume (usually written by a professional resume service/writer) must serve as a bridge from the past to the future. Keep that in mind always. Demonstrate potential awaiting release.

At Jimmy Hall Writing Services/Atlanta-Macon (404-580-1501), I write executive and professional resumes at a reasonable price ($80-$125/per 2 page resume) and provide a quality 1-page cover letter for an additional $30-$40 if I craft your resume. Feel free to contact me soon. HJimmy577@aol.com .

Rapture: Why Is The Rapture Taught Without Being In The Bible?

People often forget that God is a God of order, not confusion. Often movies and books and even some Liberal Bible teachers say that when Jesus Christ returns “we will (or shall) all meet Him in the air.” What these people fail to realize is that the Greek word translated as AIR actually means BREATH, not atmospheric air (I Thessalonians).

Many such liberties have been taken in modern Bible translations, even amid our beloved KJV, where this poor verse translation appears (but the translators warned us about such instances in a letter/preface).

The mistranslated verse in I Thessalonians is the basis for the so-called “Rapture Theory.” (The word RAPTURE doesn’t even appear in the Holy Bible.) It came about in the early 1830’s when a woman that was considered crazy by most folks around her happened to speculate that there would be a Rapture when Jesus returns. People were listening.

A couple of preachers heard what the woman was babbling, and took it upon themselves to begin the “Doctrine of the Rapture,” between 1830-1832. We are talking the 19th Century.

This was not something that was taught in the first 1800 years after Christ ascended from Earth, physically. It was a new doctrine, and nowadays you would think it was the Gospel.

The very fact that Jesus is descending and coming down to the Earth when He returns, appears to be clue enough that we may have been reading the Bible wrong with respect to this so-called Rapture.

We are to be with Christ, and He is to rule 1,000 years on Earth, is He not? What about His raging in Revelation?

As a child I was always taught that Jesus would return and His Church would join Him in the air and be gone before “The Tribulation.” The problem is that this theory leaves out the anti-Christ and all the happenings on this Earth before and after Christ returns. Then again, who knows?

I do not have the answers or know the “End Times” as well as I should, so I cannot speculate much further; but, I am unsure that we have been thinking correctly about this speculated “Rapture.”

Then again, maybe I am wrong. Whatever God wants to happen will happen. I am no language professor. Amen.

Is It Okay To Be Different? (Sometimes)

People often say that “it takes all types to make the world go around,” and that “variety is the spice of life,” and other such things; but, are those concepts truly valid and okay?

The point is that the Bible is fairly strict with respect to about 90-95% of our lives. If everyone lives as they are supposed to, obeying Scripture, there would be very little difference between us – apart from physical builds and voices. (If we were all in shape and taking care of our bodily temples, those would even be far less.)

Whenever we see people that seem unique or different, it is often for the wrong reasons. Indeed, think about radicals that made it big in all public fields, especially entertainment. The differences are generally not holy, are they? (Some rule breakers often do well in society, while others are squashed for being arrogant or unwilling to be team players.)

No, I think the differences between people that are truly okay are the mental ones, the loves, passions, and loving works done naturally without much effort. The evil world does not think that way, however.

In today’s world, the virtuous Proverbs 31 woman or the Psalm 1 man standout as weird, when in fact we all should be like them. These days bad is seen as good, whereas good is seen as bad. We have screwed up God’s Creation immensely.

I am as guilty as anyone. For instance, I caught myself admiring a couple of hot young women in tight jeans at a church service the other night. They were right there in my line of sight, and I liked their looks, until I thought hard about what I liked. Understand?

For an instant I also thought about how relaxed and comfortable the guys looked in the church, with several wearing baseball caps in the service. I sorta wanted to wear mine! Then I thought about the Bible verses against it, and the symbolism involved. Maybe that was not so cool after all.

I am not being critical; I am just saying that we ought to take a closer look at what we admire about people. Often what we like is not a good thing. It is not always good and creative to be different, as much as we all love to be unique.

Strange Church Services

I have been attending some rather strange church services this week, a “revival” at a very informal local assembly here in the town where I live. The people are very sincere, or so it seems, but have a way of letting their emotions and enthusiasm for feeling-good take-over the rightful place of God and His Word in their services.

I am all for a large degree of praise and worship of God, even songs and singing (of which I partake only a little), and when done so without “group-think” taking-over is a great thing; but, I cannot say that everything I have seen and experienced have been real – rather many emotions being released which some mistake for the presence of God Himself. (BUT, they really believe It is real, so to some It may well be.)

That is not to say that God is not in the building and amid its inhabitants, but as a whole they do seem to confuse their own feelings and outpouring of emotion for Him, to a great extent. (Our God is a God of order and not confusion; the Scripture tells us that.)

I know well the psychological tactics the assembly employs (music, yelling, stirring-up emotions, exaggerated stories, etc), for they are also used in business at sales caravans, and even at school pep rallies. They work in most cases. (I feel like God Himself needs no emotional tactics; He has only to visit His people.)

In a sense, I am like a stick in the mud at these services since I do not let my fleshly emotions control me. In a sense, I have been where they all are (3 decades ago). It is a matter of spiritual maturity, on my part; but, maybe too much so. I suppose the child inside should be allowed to come-out at times.

Call me old-fashioned, but even with praise and worship, I want a solid good portion of the Word of God preached or taught when I attend church – not simply to watch a bunch of sweet but silly people dancing and singing around like at a bar or dance hall – with very little relevance to God in their actions.

Still, as I have said – they know no better; they are sincere. Sincerity matters. I must assume that as these good folks grow in their knowledge of God, and move from milk to meat in the Word of God, their behavior will likewise conform more to that of God’s Saints. That takes time.

The important thing is that these fine people BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ. I can fit-in almost anywhere (at least for a time) with folks that agree with me on that point. They do not have to be scholars.

By extension, who is to say that I am not too reserved myself, and maybe I should loosen-up a bit? The answer may well be in the middle somewhere; people should feel free to express themselves towards God as they please, but only as it pleases Him. Amen.

Injuries: Recovering From Bicycle Injuries

A little more than a week ago I suffered a somewhat severe bicycle accident. I have a number of facial stitches, swelling, bruises, cuts on my arms and scalp, and a bit of a nasty wound in the groin area. It has been a humbling experience.

I have caught myself apologizing for my appearance, even in church services. People sorta stare, especially kids. I will say that God seems to be healing me well, however. For this I am both glad and thankful. I even prayed for a healing at last night’s revival service. I think God is moving.

I was careless on the bicycle, riding without a helmet in the rain, and with one brake already not working. Naturally, the second brake also failed as I was sliding across leaves as I rounded a corner. I guess I was amazingly stupid. Actually, there is no guessing to it.

What am I to learn from it all? Well, apart from no longer being a really dumb bike rider, I need to be more aware of my surroundings and myself at all times, period. I am not invincible.

Likely more important is that I understand just how arrogant and idiotic I have always been about my appearance. This is coming squarely into focus. These things are all spiritual faults, self-centered lunacy.

Furthermore - I need to rely on God for everything, not just my own self. I really need Him now, and I know it. My own understanding is not always proper or properly acted upon in matters. No one’s is, especially my own.

Sometimes it is hard to really accept Romans 8:28 that says all things happen for the good of the called, but I am trying. I must be honest, knowing my stupidity at the time of the accident, and say that I have actually wondered about my real and precise beliefs.

It may be that God allowed this to change my ever-cold heart and mind, and get me back to Him. Some of us need occasional drastic measures.

Words: Our Words Determine A Lot

Though I often dislike tv preachers (for their modern prosperity message, as opposed to Jesus and the Cross) many lately on the BVOV Network have actually been making sense with respect to the subject of “our words.” It is extremely convicting, in fact. How?

We are accountable to God for every word we say in our lives. Think about that. Every word. We will answer for all of them. It can be a scary thought, especially if we do not change our talk or repent of the wasted and mean words we all say (especially me).

Calling people certain words even places people in danger of Hell fire. But - perhaps just as significant is that our minds and hearts listen to our words, and subconsciously act upon them. Get it?

We tend to do as we talk most of the time. Our words set our moods, mindset, and determine success or failure. Isn’t that a big deal? YES.

Words reveal an awful lot about us as individuals. Out of the abundance of our hearts our mouths speak. Like a mirror shows your face, words show your heart. Yikes.

Naturally, we all need to clean up our acts and our words. Those little jokes? White lies? Half-truths? Words spoken in anger, not really meant later? Dishonoring God’s name either directly or indirectly? Outright untruths? Name calling that is unjustified? Running our mouths for useless purposes? Foolishness? I think you understand.

Words also mean a lot in the way of worship. God lives amid His praises. The Bible says so. We use words to praise Him. Wow! We also communicate in prayer with the God of the Universe via words. Talking is a huge deal (or simply communicating, if you are injured and cannot talk).

In Scripture, people were often named specifically for traits their parents wanted them to have or obtain. Names are words too.

The subject is deeper than I am deep, and more important than my words can say. Amen.

Benefits Hiring Business Plan Writer: Business Plans/Atlanta

There are many benefits to hiring an Atlanta-based business plan writer and giving him or her exact information. Chiefly, a professional business plan developer knows how to assimilate, organize, and format your info into a persuasive business plan written in day-to-day business speak – to achieve your goals (usually for financing, and a blueprint for operations).

Compared to the total costs of starting a new business or organization, or expanding an existing one, professional business plan costs around Atlanta or anywhere else are extremely minimal; they are a great bang for the buck. Some mini-business plans are as inexpensive as $400.

Even a full-length business blueprint’s cost ($800+) is little to pay to secure investors, partners, backers, or loans for an enterprise. Clients get their money’s worth in most cases (especially with my firm).

The most important part of the business plan process is for the client with the business idea to completely portray it to the writer, so that what comes-out on paper is the client’s unique idea – not just the business writer’s vision of the client’s idea/mission. A good plan writer will retain the client’s uniqueness amid the plan. It won’t be a basic template or program-made plan.

As the client, the business plan needs to be YOURS. If you are truly into your idea, the small amount of research you need to provide the plan writer will be fun, and something you enjoy anyway. If your potential industry bores you, don’t do it! It’s not for you. Be into what you are doing, and you are more likely to do it well.

Ideally, writer and client communicate as a team, as info and data are required. Together they have a great base of information, which the writer professionally prepares and places in the best order with the best wording for the best results. Usually, business financing is the ultimate goal.

At Jimmy Hall Writing Services/Atlanta (404-580-1501) I write solid business plans at a reasonable price. Thanks…
