... Voting For The Lesser Of The Evils: Do It Anyway

It is common for many citizens/voters these days to say that they refuse to compromise and just vote for "the lesser of the evils," particularly in Presidential Elections. Guess what? That is HOGWASH. Why? I will tell you.

By not voting, you are actually endorsing the worst of the two evils. How? By not voting for the best of the two "evil" candidates, you are allowing the worst evil one a better chance to win - by providing one less vote against him or her. Get it?

Not voting for the lesser of two evils is not a matter of good abstract principles being displayed, but rather a matter of poor functional and practical principles being employed. The whole object of anyone's morals and principles should be to place the best candidate(s) in office. One or the other will win, so shouldn't a vote be cast for the better of the two? Anything less is actually WRONG.

For example, many other Christians refused to vote for John McCain or Mitt Romney because they did not believe they were "real Christians" due to Romney's Mormonism and McCain's somewhat Liberal social attitudes. By doing so, the current President, who all of them agree is more anti-Christian than either, was elected. How did their exercise in high-minded principles help them in this case? (Not well.)

The point is, sometimes a vote for one bad candidate serves as a vote against a worse one. If you are going to be stuck with a less than desireable elected offcial, at least have a say so in lessening the severity of the tragic situation. VOTE!
